Hi I hace an I3 2120 and while im gaming I have a severe fps drops. So I was wondering, how can I put the game in 1 core and the other programs on the other. Well, first I need to know if that´s possible. thanks for the feedback

Solution
online games. they are cpu intensive, limited to 1 cores would make it a lot worst.
Either live with it or get a better cpu.

If you're using Windows 7, you can go to Task Manager, right click the process in question, select "Set Affinity" and check which cores you want that process to use.

Although I'm not quite sure that this will fix your FPS drop problems. Just don't open other programs while gaming.

mmmmm ok, Starcraft 2, Heroes of newerth, call of duty(black ops) I guess
CPU: i3 2120
Card: gtx 550ti
CPU cooler: hyper412 pwm
RAM:4GB

As I said, I think Im above the requeriments(min and max). By the way, some people told me that it can be a CPU usage or some of the components are going to 100% and its give me a hard bottlenecking(the moment when the fps drops)
