Hey,
I'm thinking of building a rig, with both new and components I found in my loft to play games like Skyrim and COD Ghosts. I was wondering if anyone could tell me what graphics settings I would be able to run these games at with this build.
Here's the specs:

CPU - AMD FX6300 Black Edition 6 Core
Mobo - Asus M5A97 LE R2.0 Motherboard
RAM - 8 Gb
Graphics card (This I found in my loft) - Asus EAH4350 Silent
PSU - Don't actually know as I cant get it out of the case but I'd assume 500W
OS - Windows 8

If anyone could help me I'd be very grateful.

Regards,

Jason

Hi,
I don't think you will have very pleasant gaming experience with the 4350. Maybe you should get at least 7770, R7 250X or GTX 750

The 4350 was built to be an HTPC card about 5-6 years ago. You may be able to get low settings at 720p, but don't be expecting anything more than that.

If I was to get the 7770, what would be the increase in performance? Graphics settings on the games I have mentioned?

With the 4350, you'll get 20-30 FPS with low settings at 720p, whereas the 7770 or 250x will get you medium settings at 1080p (high settings in Skyrim).

You better check your PSU brand, just to make sure it's not a cheapass unkown PSU. Never go cheap on a PSU, especially when it comes to building a gaming rig. You wouldn't want your system die. Better safe than sorry :)
