need help bcz everybody is telling something different

so i have the lenovo y510p with sli so no optical drive a 1tr hdd and 24ssd....windows are installed on the hdd....can i move my windows on the ssd??is it enough space the 24 gb ssd??and if i can i need a guide with some explaining bcz the only thing that i dont know anything about is OS....any help is appreciated to the maximum...if i sound like a noob plz forgive me but i have always gaming on consoles and my old pc died so bought this just to do my everyday things...not for gaming

oki but the OS files are not bigger than 10gb or i am doing something wrong here??

A fresh, clean install of Windows 8 is around 20GB. If you see only 10GB, you're not looking at all of it.

Depending on what options you have you should be able to fit windows on the ssd. Are you sure it is not all ready installed on the ssd? You need to also consider the HDD you have is a slow HDD so if you move windows to the ssd the all of your other programs will run considerably slower. All I can tell you is to give it a try if you don't like it put it back the way it was. Its not hard to do

yeah C and D...i just searched that some ssd's for this model are used as a cache or something but i don't understand

Right. It's meant to be a cache drive. I'd use it for that.

so basically either i buy a larger ssd or keep OS on the hdd and my programs that i use the most on the ssd and my pc will be high performance in means of not gaming but doing usual stuff if u understand me...thank u so much for ur help..if u could answer me this one to,u will be a god for me:D

You want your operating system on the ssd first and if you have extra room other programs. Your best bet is if the laptop has two hdd bays get at least a 60 or a 120gb ssd and keep the hdd for your storage. The single best upgrade I made to my computer as far as performance you can feel was adding a ssd. That is not a cheap Laptop so I imagine you are not strapped for cash so maybe even consider a 250gb ssd
