As the title states, my USB ASUS N13 Wireless Network Adapter loses connection and is extremely slow. The utility provided with the adapter records speeds of 7mbps at low times and 86.5mbps at high times (according to its own speed calculations). It is a bit far away from my router, but I have not had any issue what so ever for the past 2 months. It has recently begun acting up.

I've checked for interference; non. My ps3 in the same room and laptop in the same position work perfectly fine. It definitely has something to do with this adapter.

I tried updating drivers, but either I did it wrong or I got the wrong drivers, because windows would say "The drivers for this device are up to date" (Not automatic search, I downloaded latest drivers from asus.com)

I've also tried uninstalling the drivers, and re-installing them using the installation disc to no avail.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, and I can give more information upon request.

BTW: First time posting, please be nice if I did it wrong :c

On the Drivers, be sure you downloaded the ones for your OS, also if it's Win8 or 8.1 there have been problems with Win8 and wireless so make sure the OS is up to date. Might check that the BIOS is also up to date. Additionally check that other devices are taking any of the bandwidth (i.e. turn them off)...Any new devices in the house, many routers run at 2.4 the same as many wireless telephones, which if they are in the line between the router and your adapter can cause interference
