no sound from my dc7800 pc

Could you please help me with an issue i have, I have a dc7800 hp pc with windows 7 23bit installed and a Radeon graphics card installed on this. I cant get any sound from my pc at all. please help

possibly the default sound card has changed from what it used to be.
Right click on the speaker icon down in the bottom rt corner then select Playback devices. There you can select what should be set for the sound card.
High Definition is usually the one built into the GPU for the HDMI feed.
Optical usually shows up as Digital S/PDIF

(One of my htpc's loses the hdmi default about twice a year)
