i have a dell 15 inspiron laptop-1 year old-had an hdmi cable hooked up to my widescreen tv to watch/stream movies-was working fine for months now since yesterday all I get is the message-no signal-I have checked the inputs on the tv make sure it is in the right mode-even did a system restore on my laptop to an earlier date to hopefully correct the problem but still no signal-I can still view the movies on my laptop but my tv no longer recognizes the hdmi cable from my laptop
why won't my tv recognize my hdmi output from my laptop-everything was working fine now all i get is the message-no signal?

cable might be broke if you have been causing stress on it by constantly plunging it in and out of the laptop. try another cable or bend the ends around slightly to see if it grabs a signal.

yeah, it's either the cables or the hdmi port in either the TV or the laptop is faulty
