Hey everyone, I've received 2 XFX R7 265 video cards, one yesterday for a friend, and another today for myself. When I tried to install my friends yesterday I found that in both my computer and his, it would never post. I chalked to up to a bad card and figured mine would work when I would get it the next day. Fast forward today and guess what, my card also doesn't post - haven't tested it in his computer but I have a hunch it wont work either.

This has left me just a little flabbergasted, seeing as how in the 10 years I've been ordering PC parts and building computers I have never had a single DOA part shipped to me, now all of a sudden I have two in the span of two days?

I find this incredibly hard to believe that both could be dead so I'm asking if anyone here has any advice on this problem. I posted the specs of both mine and my friends machine.

My computer:
i5-2400 (Not OC'd)
MSI-P67-C43
8GB DDR3-1333
120GB SanDisk SSD
500GB WD HDD
Corsair TX650W

Friends computer:
i7-2600 (Not OC'd)
MSI P67A-GD65 (B3)
16GB DDR3-1600
Samsung 840 EVO 1TB SSD
Corsair TX650W (Previous iteration)

Additional notes:
Both computers have ATI drivers currently installed.
My current video card (HD 6870) works in both machines.
The PCIE connector is firmly plugged into the new card.
The card is firmly slotted into the PCIE slot.

Current GPU: Sapphire HD 6870

My monitor has a DVI-D (single-link) cable plugged into a DVI-I (dual-link) port on the back of my current, working GPU the 6870. The new card...
It should post without a graphics card even in the pc. Or do you mean there's just no video?

If that's the case, double check you've connected it right - DVI-I/VGA to VGA or DVI-I to DVI - you haven't said what monitor you've got.

Post links to your graphics card and monitor

Read your graphics card info and monitor manual.
