Looking for a Gaming Laptop with these specs:

1. GPU -- GTX860M will do.
2. Portable -- Under 6 pounds.
3. Battery life -- 3hrs+ is great.
4. Storage -- SSD is a MUST! (And maybe a 7200RPM HDD for Secondary)
5. Ram -- 8GB is fine.
6. Resolution -- Doesn't matter much. 1920x1080 would be cool.

BUDGET IS UNDER $1200 -- I will need to buy a Gaming Mouse and Headset as well later.

I will be mainly wanting to play BF4 smoothly. Will be on medium settings probably for 60fps+.

I was hoping the Lenovo Y50 would be my perfect match, unless you want to suggest otherwise?

The Y50 SSHD Hybrid is what's keeping me back. I want a good SSD for quick BF4 loads in MP.

Similar specs to either a Gigabyte P34G v2 or this MSI Laptop linked below... For my budget?

Open for your suggestions, thanks.

Look into the Asus N550JK or the Clevo W355SSQ. The Asus has an 850M. The Clevo has an 860M. Both are Maxwell chips, which is proving to be a great new architecture. If you order either system from a reseller, you can easily get it equipped with a SSD (what's more, you can choose which brand, model, and capacity you want).

I fixed my mistake, I meant 860M.

The MSI you linked would be PERFECT... If it had a SSD included.

Can I buy a SSD separately and change the Harddrive on this laptop? IF so then it is within my budget.

I customized the Clevo laptop and it comes exactly to $1200 with a 120gb SDD and 750gb 7200RPM HDD.

What is the Battery Life on that laptop though? Everything else is SOLID.

About 3 hours (maybe more) on moderate, "everyday" use. We haven't benched battery life on this unit yet, but the Maxwell GPU and Haswell CPU have both capitalized on the demand for increased battery life. Since it uses Optimus, battery life should be good when you're not gaming (or using the GPU).

If we manage to get an order for one soon, I can look into benchmarking the battery for you. :)

Well then. This seems like the Y50 I was hoping from Lenovo. All the specs match up to what I wanted.

This is now my top choice for my college laptop, unless anyone else comes up with a similar build that costs as amazing as this. I will be waiting to buy it this summer after I have got the money from working.

Thanks.

That's the same laptop as said W355SSQ but without the backlit keyboard (and yet it's the same price).
