I've seen a few posts pointing to the sapphire 7750 being the best low profile video card out there but can't seem to find any site that it's available on.

Would the r7 240 2gb 128-bit be the new version?

If not what I'm looking for is a low profile card that is capable of playing games on average settings (ie not very low or low settings). It must be low profile and single slot. It's going in a dell optiplex 780 sff that I want to upgrade to allow friends to play games on when they come over.

I know it won't match the performance of a full size card with external power but my goal is to be able to play games on it with average settings.

Nvidia GeForce GTX 750 Ti is the best video card out there that DOESN'T have a power input.

And its $154 only!

The 750 Ti is better according to hwcompare.com:

Hmm that comparison is for the 2gb 750 to the 1gb r7 250. The card I linked was a 4 gb card. Does the extra 3 gb not matter?

I don't think either card will work because the dell board is BTX, so the double slot card won't fit due to it facing upward instead of downward where the other pci slot is. I could probably make it fit if I removed the hard drive caddy which would give room for the card, I just wouldn't have a place to secure the hard drive.
