will taking 2 4 gb sticks of 1333 memory effect my oc?

i wanna build a spare pc and i would like to "borrow" 8 gb of my current pc's 16 gbs of ram that i dont use lol

pros and cons. will i take any performance hit?

Probably won't take a hit at all. 8GB is more than enough for just about anything including gaming, except maybe high end graphics or video manipulation.

but can i just take them out and turn on the pc? or will i have to tweak with it?

Make sure you take the correct sticks out so that you still have dual channel going on.

It won't affect your OC, depending on what all you do, i.e. if you multi-task a lot, or do a lot of imaging, video, CAD, VMs, etc theloss of DRAM can affect overall performance
