What I need help with is the message saying I will need to update the BIOS on the motherboard and I have no clue what that is, so any help with that is would be appreciated. This is my first time running into this error and if any changes have to be made to the PC, tell me. But this is the PC I will be using to video edit (No 3D Rendering of any kind, just straight up video editing and rendering as in short films, cinematics, machinimas and such.) Thank you for all help!

Solution
Go from 4960 to 4930 - nearly the same performance for half the price
Add an SSD as a Primary/Boot/OD drive
Get a Blu Ray Writer

Looks good! (better than mine - I'm jealous but have money in my pocket ha ha)

To update the Bios, go to the mobo website and download and install their latest bios. But see if you can check if you've already got a bios that will run that cpu. Most X79 mobo bios needed up dating to go from i7 3XXX to i7 4XXX cpu's. You need to update the bios using a previous generation (i7 3xxx) cpu though. Maybe the pc shop can help. The bios will then run either generation of cpu.

Solution
Since you'll be overclocking yourself, I would save yourself $500 and get the 4930k. It has the same 6-core setup, but is clocked a little lower.

The message is just lingering from when these chips first came out and some X79 boards needed BIOS updates. The board you have chosen has been updated since and fully supports the 4930k/4960x :)

Normally I wouldn't recommend faster RAM, as it doesn't really increase gaming performance, but considering the budget and use-case, the faster RAM you can get, the better. Editing and rendering will definitely benefit from the faster RAM.

Go for the gtx 780ti, it is overall better. Some times u might see the 690 with more frames. Thats because when people get the 690 they sli it. But if your not going to sli get the gtx780ti which is amazing. I have it :)

I switched to the 4930k as you were right, I am not looking for maximum performance and it will do just as good!

I switched to the 4930k and also I chose new RAM. I am sold on the Corsair Vengeance DDR3-2133MHz. Good choice?

I did some research on the 2 cards in comparison and I agree with you. The 780Ti seems fantastic for what I will be doing!
