Long story short, I installed windows with a drive letter F and I want to change it to C. How do I proceed? Google wasn't very helpful.

Solution
You may face a problem if the boot loader for windows expects or points to a drive, or its letter assignment.

To change a drive letter in windows you must click on the start pearl.
In the search box type : Disk man

The search results should appear at the top of the start window.
Click on create and format hard disk partitions.

On the drive you wish to change the letter assignment select it, then right click on it.
select from the menu change letters and paths.
Click on the change tab in the new box that opens.

To the right of the new window select another drive letter.
then click ok or apply.

I will warn you again if working with a drive with the os installed and set as a boo table device or partition it can render windows not...

I will warn you again if working with a drive with the os installed and set as a boo table device or partition it can render windows not being able to load after the change. because the prior boot loader will be pointing to the exising drive letter looking to boot windows.
