How to add space to my C drive that is getting low?

I am using Windows 7. The C drive of my computer is getting low after updating the Windows. That is really harmful to the computer performance. So, I just start to consider adding space to this drive. How can I add space to this drive? Please help me!

Buy a larger hard drive and clone your existing content to it or re-install Windows fresh to it.
