Hi,

My company provided me a laptop to work from home & it has Symantec end point protection installed on it. I wanted to know whether the admin can trace my personal activity, such as Which sites i am visiting or which files i uploaded or downloaded, when i am not logged onto the domain, but uses the same username while connecting to the internet from home.

Always assume that, when you're using company-provided equipment, they will be able to track & record what you do. Remember, just because you're working from home & connecting through "your" Internet connection, doesn't mean you can do whatever you want. Working from home means you're still on the clock....& your employer expects you to be working just as hard (if not harder) as if you were physically in the office.

Which, of course, begs the question: why not use your personal PC for your personal use, & reserve the work laptop for work-related use?

Hi,

I am Chetan Savade from Symantec Technical Support Team.

I believe it's not possible to track which sites you visited or which files you uploaded or downloaded, when you are not logged onto the domain.

Best Regards,
Chetan
