what high-end GPUs in 2014 ?

Solution

These are the rumored specs, nothing official has been announced yet: http://www.tomshardware.com/news/rumor-nvidia-gtx-880-specs,26519.html

I'm pretty sure that if you buy two of those and SLI them, you'll get more power than from the 295X2 (R9 290X CrossFire) or the TITAN Z (TITAN Black SLI). That said, the release date is not official yet either. It's probably going to be launched by the end of this year.

Right now it would be
AMD r9 295x2
and
Nvidia Titan Z

EDIT:
For note r9 295x2 is already released and you can order it in multiple stores worldwide. We are still waiting for Titan Z.

Yes, in most games it should be able to do that.

What? They're going to release desktop 8** cards too.
