Best CPU COOLER under 145mm height for i7-4770k

Hi there

I'm searching for the following criteria:
- CPU Cooler under 145mm height to fit my IN WIN 904 Case
- i7-4770k and I would like to do some Overclocking
- It should be if possible bellow 80$ or 60Euro
- I want it to be VERY VERY Quiet!!
- LED lights would be a nice to have

I searched and searched and searched.... but I couldn't find anything good.
Any ideas?

BTW: I'm also looking for a good case fan 90mm - again as quiet as possible.

You have to get a Low Profile CPU Cooler - or a water cooler. eg Deepcool Gabriel, Noctua NH L12, L9a or L9i (recommended), Phantek PH-TC14PE, Scythe Shuriken Low Profile .... etc etc

I can recommend the Noctua NH-U9B SE2 out of personal experience. It's really quiet and really powerful for a cooler so small. As for the case fan, you could get the same one that's used on that cooler, the NF-B9.

I was thinking to buy the Noctua NH-U9B SE2 but than I read this:

I believe that it is safe to say that Noctua have produced yet another high quality offering.

The NH-U9B is a universal CPU heatsink that will cool your processor quietly and without consuming huge amounts of space. It is easy to install and is also backed by a stunning 6 year warranty, in the event that it decides to malfunction in a spectacular manner.

Our testing leads us to believe that the cooler is best suited towards lower heat consumption processors if your intention is to overclock; our Core i3 530 was kept at bay at 4.00GHz 1.30V however we're not quite sure that a fully fledged Core i7 Quad Core would remain as cool at a similar operational voltage and clock frequency. For those that don't intend on overclocking, this particular cooler will suit any processor up to and including the Core i7 970/980X Hex Cores for quiet operation.

The only major downside is the cooler's price. Weighing in a £45 means that it sits in the same territory as high end 120mm compliant coolers such as the Prolimatech Megahalems, however the Noctua offers a better accessory set, which includes two high quality fans.

All in all, another potent offering from Noctua. A great buy for those who care about silence however the keen overclockers may want to consider investing a further £10-15 on more capable (but larger) offerings.

So I am not sure if I can overclock.
I prefer not to use a water cooler. Is there any other product that can fit in my case AND is good for overclocking?

That article is old; It's speaking about 1st gen i3 and i7 CPUs. For example, the TDP of the 4770k is 84W, but the i7 880 had a TDP of 95W and the i3 530 had a TDP of 73W.

I used this cooler with a 125W FX-4170 and it never got too hot, even with a bit of OCing.

It will allow you to OC, but if you really want to have a high performance cooler in a small case like yours, you need to get a water cooler like the Corsair H80i. This will exceed your budget though.
