Well i just bought a 2gb pc2-6400 ram DDR2... And i already have a 1gb pc2-5300 DDR2 ram. And my question is can i use these both simultaneously in different slots ?

My chipset :
Northbridge Intel P35/G33/G31 rev. 10
Southbridge Intel 82801GB (ICH7/R) rev. A1

CPU : Intel Pentium E5200.

Thank you very much :).

You can mix different sizes, but your 2gb will run at speed of slower DDR2 module so instead of 800mhz 2gb have it will be 667mhz.
Noone can promise you if it will really work because sometimes even if memory should be usable it just dont register on motherboard, but generally speaking yes you can mix it.

EDIT: It would be best if you post exact model of motherboard instead of just chipset.

RAM is a bit of a b****. It either works or it doesn't. It harder to diagnose on older systems as well because newer systems have memory testing built in which is useful.
Basically just stick it in and test it out. It wont affect your computer. It will either recognize and use the extra 2Gb or it wont.
If you get problems then just use the 2Gb by itself. IMO it wont work because it will be different sizes, speeds and make which RAM never likes ....
