My hard drive recently broke and my new hard drive will arrive in a few days.

My question is can I use the Windows 7 USB tool together with the product key of my Windows 7 64 home premium that came on sticker attached to my desktop PC?

Solution
The windows key on your computer is tied to the motherboard in your PC. You should have no problems, reinstalling win 7 on a new hard drive.
Yes you can. Windows 7 ties the cd key to the motherboard so you can install the os on the harddrive that is attached to that motherboard as many times as you want.

so right now your HDD is dead -> replace with new one... reinstall windows.
next week you want a SSD, pull new harddrive out put in SSD, reinstall windows, as long as you keep plugging in the drive to that motherboard that the cd key is for you can reinstall as many times as you want.
