Hi I have a friend who wants me to build a computer for them, they want to do a lot of audio processing with music I believe. I've never done a computer built around audio processing but I'm assuming a beefy CPU and Ram would be more important. In this build a GPU isn't too important, onboard should be fine but if he wants something better I have a spare radeon hd 4650. He wants to spend $500 including a monitor, I have an HP 2010i 1600x900 that I'll be including. Anyways, I'm basically asking what's the best computer for audio processing, where the GPU isn't important, that can be built for around $500 and I can make money off it it. Thank you.

Solution
hey CraigCore2.

Exactly a nice CPU, no need for a GPU and RAM are important.

I did the following for you, for $423. The CPU is very solid, good stuff for your money.
There is no OS tho but I can change it and squeez an OS in there if you want.
