PSU up or down

Hello guys ,

I just bought my new rig but I am confused whether should I face my psu upwards or downwards.
I have an antec v1 which has psu mount on the bottom with the dust filter and my psu is corsair vs550. There is lot of dust in the place where I live and so I thought I should face my PSU upwards. Will there be some problems? Or is it just the same?

Make sure the fan is pulling in cool air, outside of the case and not from the inside. The transformers inside you PSU get HOT, so the cooler the air the better.

you will find that your psu only wants to mount one way (usually with the fan facing down). this is fine as you have a dust filter you can use a paintbrush to clean once a week and be fine. also, you really don't want the opening on the psu facing upwards as dust will settle inside of it from the inside of the case when the fan spins down.
