How to overclock and what mother board do I need?

I'm going to get a new computer soon, and I will be getting FX6350 or 8320. I'm not going to get FX 8350 because its expensive and I know overclocking FX8320 can achieve that performance. I don't know what mother board I need and what power supply I will also want to overclock my GPU too.

  1. If you plan to stick to 1 high end GPU:

    Gigabyte GA-970A-UD3P

If you plan to crossfire or SLI:

    Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3 Rev. 4.0

Those are both very good boards. You could spend more if you want to, but it's really not necessary.
  2. It depends on your budget, For future upgrades, like SLI or CrossfireX, Get the Gigabyte GA990FXA-UD3 Rev, 4 or ASUS M5A99X EVO R2.0 AM3+

I got the Gigabyte GA 990FXA-UD3 Rev.4 motherboard with FX 8350 overclocked at 4.9 GHZ 1.54 Vcore and its blazing fast.

  4. But I heard people say that ASUS is better than Gigabyte? Is that true for OVERCLOCKING?
