Hi all.
I bought a Samsung Syncmaster SA300 model S22A300B 21.5" and have been using it happily and intensively for about 20 months. One morning stopped working completely so i send it to the Media Markt service since it was still on guaranty.
They repaired it and told me that it was a hardware problem and that they needed to substitute the Mainboard of the monitor.
I tried the monitor back at home and could not set it at its native resolution 1920x1080, windows 7 only let me set it at 1366x768, and says that that's the recommended and native resolution for this monitor. It looks awful at that resolution.

I decided to actualize my graphic card and monitor´s drivers but did not work. I plugged it into another PC and laptop but all the same. Tried different settings and older drivers and all still the same problem.

So, i checked Aida 64 and to my surprise that's what it says:

Monitor Properties
Monitor Name Samsung SyncMaster S19A300B/S19A350B (Analog)
Monitor ID SAM0788
Model SA300/SA350
Monitor Type LCD (WXGA)
Max. Visible Display Size 41 cm x 23 cm (18.5")
Picture Aspect Ratio 16:9
Maximum Resolution 1366 x 768

S19A300B/S19A350B??? 18.5"??? Is it possible that the Media Markt technicians installed the wrong motherboard on my monitor?? The answer is no cause I just opened the monitor´s case to check the mainboard and the mainboard´s model is the same as my monitor. Firmware is up to date too, so it´s a configuration/drivers problem then (I guess). What can i do!
So pretty please, do u have any suggestions or similar experience? I´m running out of ideas here
Thanks in advance.

My PC:
Operating System Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate
CPU Type DualCore Intel Core i3-2100, 3100 MHz (31 x 100)
Motherboard Name Foxconn H61MXV/H67MXV
System Memory 4080 MB (DDR3-1333 DDR3 SDRAM)
Video Adapter NVIDIA GeForce GT 440 (1 GB)

Solution
Check it with another system that never had that monitor attached to it. If it reads the same wrong info, the people doing the service did something wrong.

Thanks for your answer. I tried today two different computers who never had that monitor before and the same problem arises.
I´ll talk to the guys at the service.
