SATA extension lead???

Hi guys.

Been here MORE than a few times, so I finally decided to join.

I have put a Corsair CXM430 PSU in my pc. The problem is the modular SATA lead is too short.

My PSU is up top and my SSD is in the SSD drive bay. There are 5 SSD bays and it's on the top one. Still too short. :-(

Could I put any 6 pin to 6 pin extension lead in or does it HAVE to be specifically for my PSU?
I have seen loads saying they fit most PSU's, but some say for GPU's but I was wondering is there a power difference in GPU power leads to SATA leads?
I would have though it was, so I'm a little hesitant in choosing which extension lead is best for my situation.

All help gratefully received.
Regards,
Sven.

I would suggest that you keep a 12v rail to its own rail to be safe. Especially if this is a cost-saving thing; you'll not save much if there IS a problem.
However, corsair may do their own extra cables. I'll check their website.

Thanks Rugnir,
I did see it on the Corsair website and I know It says it would fit my modular psu, but I've been bitten like that before, so I just wanted Corsair to confirm that.
I have sent a question into the Corsair help desk, but they haven't got back to me.
I'll just go with the one you suggested. It was going to be one of my choices anyway and you've just confirmed what I already thought.

Big thanks,
Sven.
