Data migration applications work reasonably well; however, sometimes problems develop. That is one reason why a clean fresh install is the preferred method. I suggest you follow Samsung's instruction for performing a "secure erase". It will wipe the ssd clean and make it like new. Next do a fresh clean install of Microsoft Windows and drivers. Once you are satisfied the ssd and Windows are working properly you can install your software applications and utilities.

I have used, or have tried to use, Samsungs EVO ssd's on 4 different systems. 3 went fine, and one just wouldn't work no matter what I tried. I finally got an Intel SSD, and for some reason that worked flawlessly. My answer is that if it doesn't work, send it back and try another....If I had done that at first, I would have saved many frustrating hours trying to get that 4th Samsung to work......A low tech answer, but it worked.

Try to boot from your HDD, then proceed with checkdisk.
