What I want to achieve:

* Run Dota 2 on Ultra Settings
* Vsync Enabled/ON
* Stable 60 FPS (No Drops)

Here is my planned RIG:

CPU = Intel G2030 3.0Ghz
GPU = Palit GTX 750 Stormx OC
RAM = 8GB ddr3 1333
Display = 20" screen with 1600x900 Resolution

Can I achieve my Goal using the specs mentioned above?
Need help and suggestions. As much as possible, I want the maxwell gpus to save electricity.

Thanks!

Turn off antialiasing. Tone down shadows.

R9 270 or a GTX 760 or any card higher. Also a stronger cpu, i3 or higher.

possibly, if you already have the rig, then just try it.

Actually, the RIG is still my plan. I'm trying to pick the exact device needed for my goal. I could have tried it myself and no need to post here. Please help me decide what to change.

Give budget? What currency? What you already have that is reusable? Or are you starting from scratch?

i dont have anything yet,. im willing to go to the budget that is needed as long as it will not be an overkill system.

Best solution

well, SOTA2 has fairly low requirements. I saw something for a medium 1920x1080 build.

Here's my best guess for a 1600x900 ultra build:

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant / Benchmarks

CPU: AMD Athlon X4 760K 3.8GHz Quad-Core Processor ($84.74 @ Amazon)
Motherboard: MSI A55M-E33 Micro ATX FM2+ Motherboard ($39.99 @ Micro Center)
Memory: A-Data Plus Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($42.26 @ Amazon)
Storage: Western Digital RE3 250GB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($35.99 @ Amazon)
Video Card: PowerColor Radeon R7 260X 2GB Video Card ($112.98 @ Newegg)
Case: Rosewill REDBONE ATX Mid Tower Case ($28.25 @ Newegg)
Power Supply: Corsair Builder 430W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply ($34.99 @ Micro Center)
Total: $379.20
(Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available.)

IF you really have to have an Intel plus nvidia build but note, going AMD on both cpu and gpu will be cheaper and perform the similarly:
I would suggest you consider to increase your budget if you want a nice case.
Also whilst the Pentium is cheaper, an i3 would be better and less FPS drops.

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant / Benchmarks

CPU: Intel Core i3-4130 3.4GHz Dual-Core Processor ($119.97 @ OutletPC)
Motherboard: ASRock H87 Pro4 ATX LGA1150 Motherboard ($87.49 @ Amazon)
Memory: A-Data XPG V1.0 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($64.99 @ NCIX US)
Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($56.98 @ OutletPC)
Video Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 750 1GB Video Card ($114.99 @ NCIX US)
Case: Cooler Master Elite 430 ATX Mid Tower Case ($29.99 @ Newegg)
Power Supply: XFX 550W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply ($47.99 @ NCIX US)
Total: $522.40

Going ivybridge isn't much cheaper than Haswell. You could buy 4gb ram for now and later add another 4gb ram to make it 8gb.

EIther is fine. It is just the coding of the game that can cause fps drops. The game is not fully optimised even though it is out of beta there are some improvements that can be made. Patches from updates can cause these problems as well, it is just the coding being inefficient.

It can play ultra settings. A gtx 750 is slightly weaker than a R9 260X. A r9 260X can play at 94 FPS on ultra at 1080p. A gtx will be slightly lower than that.
