Should i buy this PSU? The Corsair CS750M
http://www.alza.sk/corsair-cs750m-d505644.htm#popis

Or the Fortron Raider 750? http://www.alza.sk/fortron-raider-750-d457979.htm#popis

I'm looking for a detailed comparison between those two, they both have the cables i need, one is 80 plus gold and the Fortron is 80 plus silver. I will power an r9 280x and an I5 760. I know this is a bit overkill (750W) but i want to be future proof. Fortron has a 6 year warranty while Corsair has 3 years. I would like a price to performance comparison (Cs750m is 20 euro more expensive), noise test and so on. I would be glad if owners of these PSU's could give me some feedback on their experience. Since they are really similar... I am a bit worried, since Fortron is not such a known brand. But the specs of it look good...

More amps on the +12v rail isn't necessarily a benefit. It just means that the power supply will allow more current through before tripping the overcurrent protection. At any rate, your build won't come close to the limit on either power supply.

Other than that, they're very similar.

I'd say go for the Fortron. After some more digging around online, it seems to be a fantastic little PSU and a higher rated one. Also you have a 6 year warranty on it, so that should last you quite a while. I've seen quite a few Corsair's go bad right after their warranty expires.

Thanks, might any of you know some direct comparisons? like amps on the 12v rail or noise? I am not really familiar with those kinds of things. The 280x needs at least 30 amps. The Fortron has 60 and Corsair has 62 i think. So you are saying it is not worth spending the extra 20Eur for modular cables and basically paying for the brand?? because my case doesn't really have any good cable management though the modular cables might be better. I'm still not sure if its worth the extra 20Eur though.

What do you mean by "higher rated one" as far as I know the corsair is 80 plus gold while the Fortron is 80 plus silver

I mean in term's of customer reviews. I usually read at least a couple dozen reviews before I reply to a question unless I've seen the product before. The Corsair is getting around 4-4.5 whereas the Fortron is getting around 4.5-5.

Corsair make's some fantastic products, I almost always look to see what corsair has available when it come's to pc's except for their power supplies. They have made some iffy psu's lately.

yeah,,, :) So what you are saying is that i have no need in spending more cash for the Corsair, because the Fortron should be just as good? I still might consider the corsair because it is semi modular....
