What AMD CPU is the best for money?

Solution
Right now, the 750K/760K. These chips can be safely overclocked on stock cooling with junk $50 mobos.

If there were enough current games that fully utilized more than 4 threads, then the FX-6300, but there just aren't. In the rare games that can fully utilize more than 4 threads, the FX8320 is what you want anyway, but keep in mind you need a good board and good cooling to overclock the 8320 to usable performance, driving up cost.

If you aren't overclocking, then there is no reason to get AMD, because even Haswell Pentiums and i3s perform better at stock.

I agree with Eduello, the FX-6300 is a smarter and more economical buy.

If you really need performance, go Intel.
