Old Graphics (Windows), New Graphics (POST screen)

Been scouring the net for at least 8 or so hours. Have tried almost everything I've stumbled across or have thought of myself.

I have an HP Pavilion HPE h8-1214 computer from a Best Buy (about 2 years old).
The graphics card, AMD Radeon HD 7450, just isn't cutting it.
So I looked up other PCI-E x16 cards that aren't too crazy and that are sold in stores nearby and found the GeForce GTX 770 2gig card.
Bought that and bought a CX750M Corsair PSU (750watts).

Went home and installed the new PSU into the computer. Powered it on and everything was normal. Windows booted, shutdown-restart, the works.

Great I thought. Then I installed the new GPU. Powered the computer back on and nothing.

The GeForce lettering is lit green, the fans seem to be working. I switched out the cards and with the old card the computer boots and Windows etc. I switched back to the 770 card and back to nada.

Specifically, I sit at the POST message screen. Pressing ESC to get to any BIOS does nothing. Also of note, if I unplug the 2pin from the 8pin slot (6+2) and then turn on the computer, a message appears stating that I should power down the device and connect the pci-e power cords to the graphics card.

I have seen several posts on this forum about this very thing. Some people didn't have it plugged in (the 8pin/6pin), some people didn't have it set right, and some people had to go into bios with the working GPU in and set some values.

Aside from the BIOS, (Gigabyte AC28 - Ang_712 has no graphics options), I've attempted all currently known troubleshooting possibilities.

I don't have another computer to verify the GPU, and the guys at best buy do not have a computer to verify the GPU neither. They claim it would take several days of leaving the computer with them. So, that's my last option. This post is my second to last option! (^_^)T

Any further guidance would be appreciated.
