So does anyone know how to turn on a computer remotely without being in the same network but maybe miles/km away from the computer I want to turn on.
Is it possible without too much router complications or the use of two computer but if that's the only way then please.
Sadly I don't know much about network so I'm a newbie at this. (Can't even tell I have a router)
I also have everything in checked like it's connected to a network and Ethernet cable and I've set it up to accept packets and such but I have an Asus bios if you need to know.
Thanks in advance.

The first thing you need to find out does your PC (MB) support Wake on Lan function ? So if you need to enable it first, 2nd question is if your PC is up and running can you currently access it remotely using your phone (or any other workstation) not on your local network ? Normally you need to configure your router to even allow remote access to your network and even then it depends if you have a static IP address or a dymanic one from your ISP.

I already did and it work well with wake on lan with my phone but the problem is only in local networks as in the name LAN (Local area network). But now I want something that is further than that. Also I'm not sure about that but if it not possible then ok.

Ok but can you currently remotelly access your PC if its turned outside of your network ? In order to do that you need a static IP address that is reachable over the internet. Which depends on your IPS and router configuration.

Well for a static "IP" you could just use something like no-ip? Although it depends on how long ago your computer turned off (so it can't update the no-ip when it's off) or if your modem/router gets reset since that will reset the ip and thus requiring an update to no-ip.

Normaly you don't get a static ip and even if you do it would probably cost you a lot. http://www.noip.com/ Allows you to get a free "static ip" so that solves half of your problem.
