AMD only supports pci-e 2.0 but don't worry it's still more than fast enough .
  2. the motherboard has a 2.0 slot doesn't it? most of them do. I think 3.0 was in the new fm2+ boards.

    "1 x PCIe 3.0 x16" It has PCIe 3.0
  4. The board does have a 3.0 slot.
So only intel processors support 3.0?

Why would the board have a slot it couldn't use? What CPU do you have?
  6. does the cpu support the 3.0 slot?
  7. Northbridge

We explained that the APU architecture has a lot more inside of it than just the CPU and GPU, there's core logic for the UVD engine but also high-level Northbridge functionality including a PCI-Express 2.0 controller and a dual-channel DDR3 memory controller.
