So I just got my cyberpowerpc and monitor and went to setup everything up and when I booted the computer up the monitor said no signal. Its an LG monitor, brand new out of the box. the computer is brand new also. Any ideas as to why this is happening?

Solution
Check the cable at the end and the port you are plugging into and make sure the ports look the same.

It should go into the DVI-D port.

Update: Get a HDMI to DVI connector. This means that they will both be digital inputs (VGA is analog).

If you have a graphics card make sure you are using the input that is on that and not the ones on the motherboard.

The GPU ones will be the ones in the expansion ports and not the ones grouped with the USB, Nnetwork and sound ports.

I am a dumbass lol, I see the DVI ports. I had a VGA cord plugged into the mobo. The monitor i have doesnt have a DVI port, only a HDMI and VGA. So do I need a VGA/DVI converter? or could I use HDMI? (Like I said I am a bit of a noob, sorry)
