Hello,

I built my PC about 1,5 years ago and recently I got a problem with the top chassis fan. It won't work (read: rotate) by itself. The LED (of the fan) does work, and when I give it a swing, it will work as long as the PC is turned on. But when I turn it off and back on again, the problem occurs again (so I have to give it a swing again etc...)

I thought it maybe was a problem with the connection to the motherboard, so I switched my front fan connection with the 'broken' top fan connection. The front fan did still work, and still the same problem occured with the top fan...

So another thing I tried to do to resolve the problem, was to connect the 3 pin with a connector directly to the power supply... Again still the problem...

I think I've tried everything now, and I don't have any clue how to resolve this. I hope you can help me. Suggest anything, and I will try it as soon as I possibly can.

For your information, my PC specs (tha matter) are the following:

Chassis: Zalman Z11 Plus
Motherboard: ASRock B75 Pro3-M
Power supply: XFX Pro 550W
CPU: i5 3450
GPU: Gigabyte HD7950 Windforce 3
RAM: Corsair Vengenace

Again, I hope someone can help me with this.
Sorry for my bad English, if you didn't understood. ;)

What model of fan is it? Depending on where it came from you could probably return it on warranty. Fans usually don't die that quickly.

It's the stock 120mm LED fan from Zalman, that came (built in) with the chassis. ;)

As far as I know, there's probably just something wrong with the motor. You can buy a 120mm LED fan for $5 from amazon or newegg, or just go without it if you still have other fans in the case.

O.k so I was right about it being broken... Than I have to see if I want to buy a new one.. but it isn't neccesary :)
And otherwise I have to get one with exactly the same LED color.. xD

I will still wait for other answers, but thanks for replying this quick and confirming my suspicions. :)

EDIT: I tried once again to plug out and in the connector from the top fan, and suddenly it works again. The 3 times before it didn't work, but now it does 5 booths in a row... I don't know how, but again thanks! :)
