i have a headset with built in microphone but the microphone doesnt get recognised. The headset has a single 3.5mm jack. i know the microphone works beacuse I used it for my laptop but I recently built myself a gaming pc and now it doesnt. and yes i have installed the audio driver. Any ideas?

Hope that helps... I know a lot of soundcards and onboard sound for pc's have a jack for the mic and one for the audio
