Hi, I've been having some trouble getting my front panel audio connector from a thermaltake armor case to hook up to the msi 760gm-p35 front panel audio connector (jaud1). The labels on the connectors from the case don't correspond with the pins from the motherboard.

This is from the motherboard manual:

And this from the case manual:

Currently I have the Ear R and Ear L hooked up to the Head Phone L and R. I then have the returns R and L hooked up the the Mic R and L. Ground to ground, and had Mic VCC going to mic detection, with Mic In not hooked up to anything.

The problem I'm having is the sound only works from the front panel when i have both speakers and a mic plugged in, but the mic doesn't seem to be working as it wont recognize it in windows. If i just have the audio jack plugged in and not a mic then i get no sound at all.

If anyone can tell me what I'm doing wrong with the audio connector, i would appreciate it!

LINE_IN L & R are using for other devices, not your microphone, for example you want to connect a VCR to your computer, you can use LINE IN L & R for left and right on the AV cable connects with the VCR to get sound into your computer.

You can try MIC IN with MIC L, MIC VCC with MIC R
