I have read that it will either not work or will automatically go to 2000, which is true if either?
Will a ddr3 2400 ram work on a motherboard that supports up to ddr3 2000.

Well it won't automatically go to 2000, will have to be set up, but as SR-71 said - What mobo and what CPU - it takes a combination of the two to run sticks at 2000, 2133, or whatever
