I recently switched from a flat panel tv connected by an HDMI cable to an ASUS VG248QE and have it using a Dual-Link DVI cable to get the full 144 hz. However, I'm noticing when I do much of anything (opening a webpage in chrome, any other simple task) my CPU is massively bottlenecking. I've had no computer lag for general use before changing the monitor. No idea why the monitor would be causing this CPU lag, but any help appreciated, specs below:

E2600 Core i7, 3.4 GHz
2x GTX 560 TIs, SLI
16 GB DDR3 RAM

The monitor will not cause any lag. What exactly do you mean by it's bottlenecking? What is happening?
