Hey, so recently I moved my router to my living room, and my PC is in my room. I'm trying to connect to the wifi, but I when I try to I see no option that allows me to use wifi.

I don't know if this is because my motherboard doesn't support wifi (which would be stupid because this is a brand new motherboard)

I used windows 8.1, and my motherboard is a GIGABYTE 970A-DS3P

My PC is fairly new, and I think the problem is that I may or may not have updated my motherboard. I have my motherboard box with a bunch of driver disks. That could be the problem.

*NOTE* I'm not very good with computer tech stuff, so I apologize if I sound like a complete idiot.

No, that motherboard doesn't support wifi. Most ATX boards don't, in fact. Usually it's just mITX boards and laptops that come with wifi, since those are smaller and more portable, and get moved around often. With a large ATX board like yours, they generally assume you'll just keep it in one place and run a cord to it.

The good news is, a wifi card that plugs into your mobo only has to cost like $15-$20.
