MSI R9 270X - Minor Display Issues

Recently I've purchased R9 270X graphics card and from the start, I see few display issues with most of my games like Prototype 2, BF3, etc. FPS is good but some sort of black lines and even pink colored grains appear at fewer spots. I have my drivers up-to-date. Tried Beta version too yet the problem still persists. Following is my machine's configuration:

Processor: AMD FX - 6300

MOBO: Asus M5A99FX Pro R2.0

Graphic Card: MSI R9 270X OC

PSU: 550 W

I don't know if the problem is on my side or on driver's.

Thats fine, its pretty straight forward. If you have any questions just ask.

Thank you. I have downloaded and installed it... Now should I click burn-in test directly or change the settings?

Those temps are fine. Did you notice any weird colors like before while running the test? If not I would take a crack at reinstalling the GPU drivers.

This time though, download driver sweeper, uninstall, go into safe mode, run driver sweeper, tick only the box that says AMD - Display, nothing else. Hit analyze, then clean. Get out of safe mode and try to reinstall the drivers again.

I didn't see any weird colors during the test and also, I used AMD CLEAN UNINSTALL utility to remove the drivers completely and re-installed them as well but it went in vain. Few minutes ago (before making this post), I was playing COD ghosts and there I didn't see any weird colors. It worked like God..... Hmm, I see something in here. For COD Ghosts, I set video graphics to recommended level and hence no custom changes. But for BF3, I had video settings all to ultra. Maybe should I turn off or lower something in that point? Well, I strongly believe that R9 270X can play well at ultra settings.

Edit: AMD has provided the uninstall utility to its users and so I use it for my satisfaction. And not only on BF3, prototype 2, SR IV and Batman have their video settings in my taste i.e., I changed everything to high/ultra as much as I can.

Yeah the R9 270x should max out BF3 nicely. If you have any other games I'd suggest trying them. If it happens in them to the card might be defective. But if its limited to BF3 maybe we can figure something out.

Edit: ah, I didn't realize that AMD came out with an uninstall utility recently. Might have to try that out sometime.

If the card is defective, I should have found the grains/weird colors while stress testing. Everything was clear in it...

Edit: Should I turn off something like V-sync or anti-aliasing or anything to rectify this issue then?

Made life easier for you :p

Most likely yes, but furmark doesn't stress test Vram sadly.

Oh okay. If that's the case, is there any alternative?

Hm, I "think" OCCT might do it but I'm not sure.

Okay, I'll try out all different possible ways to figure this out and start a new post later if the issue still persists.

Alright, feel free to PM me with the new topic. Also if you fixed it PM me, I'm interested.
