Help choosing a sound card.

I'm not to familiar with sound cards. I know that my MOBO is pretty decent, but I want something better. I don't want to get something that isn't better than what I have. My MOBO is a Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD3H. I also have a nice pair of studio headphones. I would like to take advantage of them.

I'm willing to dish out a little bit of money. I don't need the best of the best when it comes to soundcards though. Internal or external, doesn't really matter. Whichever is the better deal.

where are you from i will try to give you some good options , asus xonar and creative x-fi are very good

ASUS Xonar series cards have pretty decent cards in all price ranges. They should all be better than onboard sound with the exception of the best onboard implementations.

personally i don't use creative anymore, xonar series is a good choice, they have one for different price range. so, read some reviews, and get one
