Windows Store app not working/stuck

I have installed some updates for Windows 8.1. The UI of Metro apps have changed (minimize and close buttons on apps). Right now my Windows Store app does not work at all. It gets stuck on the splash screen where the dots keep circling which represents loading. Interestingly, I have another user on my laptop and his app works fine without any issues. What is my problem?

Check first if there are still updates waiting to be installed, you can do this by doing the shutdown procedure but intead of choosing shutdown or restart, there should be a third option "update and shutdown"..

if there nothing there, post back.
