2 fans better than 1?

I was deciding which graphics card to buy and saw that there were two cards of the completely same clocks and chip but one card had only one fan and the other had two.

Does the one with 2 have a lot better cooling or is it the same?
I wonder since I see this pretty often.

Solution
They probably set the clock speed based on the cooling performance of the card's heatsink and fan(s). Two fans may not necessarily mean better cooling

Two over one is not necessarily better cooling. More than anything, the two-fan setup is simply quieter, since the multi-fan setups are probably running at lower RPM. Some of the single-fan reference designs scream like a banshee at high GPU loads.

In any case, the size and material of the heatsink attached to the fan/s would make a greater difference than the fans themselves.

Would the different setups you're comparing make any practical difference to your GPU's reliability or performance? No.
