I’ll start with my specs =)

OS: WINDOWS 7 HOME PREM
CPU: FX 8320 (STOCK HEATSINK NOT OVER CLOCKED)
GPU: GTX 760 SC 2GB VRAM
PSU: CORSAIR 900WATT GOLD
MOBO: MSI 970A-G46 9 SERIES AM3+
OPTICAL DRIVE: ASUS 24X
HD: SEAGATE 500GB
RAM: 8GB PC3-10666 1333MHz DDR3 DESKTOP DIMM
CASE: ULTRA ETORQUE X1 MID-TOWER GAMING CASE
5 FANS

I currently play BF4, Titanfall, COD ghost and I can max all of them out other than BF4. My question is should I upgrade my mobo or keep my setup just how it is!? Someone told me it’s really cheap and not much of a board and I could be getting better performance if I get another board... I was thinking about the Asus Crosshair v its $225 but before I do that I need more opinions... Would I just be waisting money or is it worth it? (PLEASE DONT TELL ME TO GO INTEL I DONT HAVE THE MONEY) Also please keep in mind I want to over clock in the near future and SLI with another GTX 760 SC 2 GB... Please give me your best advise =) thanks in advance!

PS: if you see anything else worth upgrading please tell me. I’m aiming for an ultimate gaming pc that will last me a couple years! =)

Yes the crosshair board is a 990FX chipset board. For gaming and OCing it is a bit of a tossup between the Sabertooth and the Crosshair. Both are very capable overclockers but the Crosshair is more geared towards gaming with the options it has where the Sabertooth is more geared towards longevity, hence the 5 year warranty. the crosshair only has the 3 year warranty but is 100% geared towards gaming and performance.

both will be good choices.
if you are planing on OCing the CPU and wanting to go SLI then yes I recommend a different board But keep this in mind. AMD is planning on changing sockets for there next CPU's so don't expect this new purchase to last past this CPU.

Go with a 990FX board like you mentioned as it has the capability to do 2 PCI-e slots at x16 lanes and usually will hold a better OC for the CPU. The reason for the better OC is the voltage regulation is better, better quality parts and cooling systems for the board are better.

If you do purchase a new board you can always sell the old board and regain some of the money back to make it a bit more worth the upgrade.

Cheap or expensive boards have similar performance if other components are the same. You buy more expensive board for features and overclocking. If you plan to overclock by high margins (modest overclock should be OK for your board), buy better board. Otherwise, don't waste money.

Thanks for all your help! You have a lot of knowledge you have helped me make a choice I’m going with the crosshair sound like ill get a lot for the cash.. it even has a sound card =)

If you are going to go with a good board for OCing then get a good cooler like a Phantek or Noctua for the cooler. they perform better than the AIO/CLC's and usually cost around the same or less depending on the model of water cooler.
