Putting together my new rig but I don't know what the PSU size should be. Parts- FX6300, R9 290, M5A97 R.2 mobo, 8gb Ram and 1tb HDD ( Also sorry if this is in the wrong forum)

yes, but the only time that would be a factor is a very high wattage psu in a mini-itx case.
