If you're looking for the absolute best sensor for FPS games, the G502 wins hands down. I own one now and love it. I owned the DeathAdder back when it was first released, and it never wowed me (nor have any other Razer products), and I switched to Logitech from there.

If you do happen to go with the G502, I'd suggest getting a hard mousepad until they fix the issue with peeling skates on cloth pads. Minor issue, but only if you have a cloth pad.

And you can easily unbind the sniper button because I know I press it randomly when I'm playing any game.

In all honesty I wouldn't get either. I think Razer peripherals are incredibly overrated and overpriced (and one of my coworkers just told me his son sold his Razer and bought a Mad Catz R.A.T. 5). Logitech makes some good products but they've had a lot of quality control issues over the last couple of years. I've used a lot of different mice and these are the ones I've had that I liked over the others:

- Thermaltake Level 10: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826254094
- Roccat Kone XTD: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826436016
- Mad Catz R.A.T.5: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826618008

I know you're already made your purchase but figured I'd reply in case anyone else stumbled in here. I came from a G9, and got very used to the small size, I use a sort of hybrid claw/palm grip but tending towards claw, I use my thumb and little (pinky) to move the mouse, not my actual palm.

So, after buying a RAT7 and ditching it after realising it was WAY too heavy, I read all the reviews of the Deathadder and bought one based on it being described as a hybrid grip. It's not, my main problem with the Deathadder was the I couldn't adequately grip the right side with my pinky, the angle at that side of the mouse was too vertical and while there is a grip pad there my pinky was just not holding it well enough to allow me to move the mouse without modifying my style.

So after reading a really good review of the G502 on Amazon I grabbed one and couldn't be happier. It's still a "hybrid" of sorts, it's not the same form factor as the G9 (but then, nothing is) however the pinky side is angled just slightly more and the grip pad there grips just enough that my pinky isn't struggling to grip it and allow me to use it to move the mouse around. The left side also fits my thumb much better. I still miss the rigid lines of the G9 (particularly how the top buttons were square at the front, allow my fingers to "claw" over them, giving me some extra control).

So the bottom line is, anyone looking for a G9(x) replacement, this is your mouse.
