Would 3 way SLI GTX 780 Ti with 3 1440p monitor (Asus ROG PG278Q be an overkill setup for AAA games such as BF4? Possibly running at 120hz+

Solution
The issue really isn't with the VRAM at this point, it's that there's literally no GPU solution that will achieve those results. GPUs just don't have enough power at this point in time to fully utilize a 1440p 120Hz 3 monitor setup.

With 3 1080p 120Hz monitors, it's more than likely possible. The pixel count with 3 1440p monitors is nearly doubly that of three 1080p monitors.

you're talking about running 7680x1440 resolution??? 3 780ti's are not going to run that on ultra at 144hz... maybe medium/high

3 780tis could do 60fps on ultra tho.... although if you want any sort of anti aliasing, it's giong to chew up the 3gb of VRAM real quick.
This would be a task better suited to a 6gb version or a titan black

Assuming at Ultra, I think it'd be hard to maintain 120 FPS average (there aren't any 1440p 144hz monitors, the ROG Swift comes close at 1440p, 120Hz). Just looking at a few benchmarks, BF4 included, for SLI 780 Tis, you'd be averaging 140 FPS on ultra @ 1440p, add two monitors, and that number is likely to drop down drastically.

Yeh sorry I didn't specify in my first post that the monitor will be the Asus ROG PG278Q as it has built in G-Sync so nvidia only
