Re check your manual, see if you missed a connection.

Look at the "to check" in the next link, especially at those that concern the psu,

I think i understand this, but i also think i get the problem i am having, so my computer uses an atx cpu (has a 4-pin power connector) and my psu did not come with this connector, i plugged in everything (the mainboard, ram, and hd) but there isnt a 4-pin atx cable coming out of the psu (is this normal?), can someone please give me a hand in understanding if i need a new psu that comes with one of these, or do i just need to do something else, up to this point, i am totally lost.

The 4 pin eps connector is for supplying power to your cpu. Look for an 8 pin eps connector on your psu, because it can be split into two 4 pin connectors.

Check the manual.

i really do appreciate this help guys, my thanks, i wish the cx430 by corsair came with a manual (all there is, is a bit of info on the back of the box), but even if there was a manual i probably wouldve found some way to mess it up, once again, thanks guys
