I have a Gateway DX4870 with a 300W FSP power supply. I've been told that my system can run the regular one with no issues. Here are my specs:

Operating System: Windows 8 64-bit (6.2, Build 9200) (9200.win8_gdr.130410-1505)
Language: English (Regional Setting: English)
System Manufacturer: Gateway
System Model: DX4870
BIOS: P11-B0
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-3330 CPU @ 3.00GHz (4 CPUs), ~3.0GHz
Memory: 8192MB RAM
Available OS Memory: 8062MB RAM
Page File: 3659MB used, 5106MB available
Windows Dir: CWindows
DirectX Version: DirectX 11
DX Setup Parameters: Not found
User DPI Setting: Using System DPI
System DPI Setting: 96 DPI (100 percent)
DWM DPI Scaling: Disabled
DxDiag Version: 6.02.9200.16384 64bit Unicode

Do you think I could run the SC edition of the card? I know you can just overclock it manually, but I'm not exactly a person who knows everything about tech. I've heard that the SC version also has a slightly better performance. Thanks in advance, everyone. :)

Solution
Yes, you can get the SC version of the card; it doesn't require a 6-pin PCIe power cable so you're good to go. The EVGA ACX cooled ones do, so I wouldn't recommend any of those with that power supply

But it doesn't have a HUGE difference in power consumption from the regular version, does it?

Ahhhh, okay. Thanks a bunch! I was thinking of going ahead and buying a 400W EVGA power supply to go along with it, but from what I've been hearing, there's no need for it with these two GTX 750 Ti models. Well, I guess I'll pick up the SC version on payday, then. :)

I was just like you. Then I got smacked in the face with a book saying "LEARN TO READ" :|

Also don't you love it when you want to know something and someone has already asked it? Saves you a load of time :D:D

I have that same system but what iv done is iv taken out the old power supply and put in a new evga 600 watt so i can upgrade in th future and wont have to worry about anything.

Yes grab the card because for me to have the same PC as you this card gave me a min of 5x performance boost and a max of 9x performance boost to most games made from 2011 and so on. i say get it and sometime in the future grab a new PSU as well ;)
