Can I overclock a CPU on my motherboard if I upgrade it to an AMD Athlon x4 760k w/ Cooler Master 212 Evo? My MOBO is a: JasmineR MS-7778. If so, how do I do it and what numbers do I do? What about RAM?

Solution
When you go into your bios on start up is there any function for that says anything about "multiplier" That would be the firt place to start bumping up your overclock. I have never heard of that motherboard.

Thanks for the short reply. Yeah the MoBo is from a pre-built PC (HP Pavilion 500-054) it's bad I know, but so far I added a GTX 750 Ti Sc that I found on amazon and it's good but I need a new CPU because mine is bad. (AMD A8-5500 APU) and only way to make it worth upgrading is if I OC the AMD Athlon x4 760k (Which I am planning on buying if I can OC with this board) and I am not sure if I can even do that on this MoBo so do I need to change MoBos?

If you bought your PC pre-built from a big box store it almost surly can not be overclocked. Most PC makers lock the mobo or dont include the OC functions in the BIOS to prevent people from OC'ing there CPU's and trying to claim that the PC was bad. As far as changing the Mobo you could do that but then would need to do a fresh install of Windows. If your buying a new CPU and new MOBO you should seriously think about just building a new PC when you get the money.
