Hey guys, I just finished building my PC yesterday and it went fantastic. It all works great except im having trouble with using a microphone. When I plug it in, nothing happens, it doesn't hear me at all. I've tried several mics. The motherboard I have is ASUS M5A99FX 2.0 pro. Need some help with this. The audio works perfect, set up surround sound and everything and it works great, its just the microphone.

I've done all of that. Is it true that you have to buy a headset made for a pc because the pins are different? I've been trying the earphones for my phone...
