Does p7-1187c have a PCI express or 2.0 or 3.0 motherboard?

ah, ok. that makes it easier to track down. Thanks.

I found this page on the specs, which, surprisingly, shows the motherboard.

It does have one PCIe x16 slot and three PCIe x1 slots. Since the processor is a Sandy Bridge, that PCIe x16 slot will be version 2.0.

The big concern will be if you will have a power cable capable of plugging in the video card. You may need to buy a couple power supply splitters and an adapter to get the right plug for a PCIe video card.

Open up your system and check if it has a plug like this: http://sgcdn.startech.com/005329/media/products/gallery_large/SATPCIEXADAP.C.jpg

Or, you can get an adapter like this: http://sgcdn.startech.com/005329/media/products/gallery_large/LP4PCIEX8ADP.main.jjpg.jpg
